Blog Post 24// Say What?

And since we have this same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I believed and therefore I spoke. And we also believe and therefore speak.
2 Corinthians 4:13

What we believe about God is the most important thing in life. What comes out of our mouths may be the next.

There is power in the proclamation. What we say to each other and ourselves matters!

If death and life are in the power of the tongue, then my words create or my words destroy. There is no middle ground. No neutral. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can and will hurt me—and others.

Our words invite the attention of two worlds: light or darkness, life or death. Which are you inviting today?

I think we will spend a few days on this. For now, what would it look like if you paid extra attention to what came out of your mouth today? You may be surprised.
